No contests in Heath election on May 9

HEATH — The Heath annual town election ballot has several familiar names, no contests and two town positions with no one running for them.

The polls will be open on May 9 from noon to 7 p.m. in Community Hall.

Write-in candidates may come forward for any of the positions, but especially for the open one-year term as constable and a two-year opening on the School Committee.

Here’s whose running. All are for three-year terms unless otherwise noted:

Board of Assessors, Alice Wozniak; Finance Committee, Donald Freeman; Selectman, Brian DeVriese; Planning Board (five-year term), Jo Travis; Moderator, Douglas Wilkins; Library Trustee, Kate Bailey and Constable, (one year) Steven Thane.
