Conway board to decide on employee handbook
CONWAY — The Selectboard will decide whether to approve the employee handbook on Monday — 11 months after first receiving it.
It will be the board’s second vote on the handbook — a document with workplace rules for town employees.
The committee finished its work on the development of the new handbook last year and the board accepted it in July 2012 as described in the town’s 2012 annual report delivered at town meeting in May.
But its rollout was delayed as the town discovered differences between town practice and proposed policies.
Selectboard member Jim Moore said on Monday the town has diligently reviewed the new personnel handbook.
Over the past year, the town has operated under the previous handbook.
If approved, the new handbook will be rolled out without three of its original drafters.
Personnel Chairwoman Heather Rose and members Donna Crabtree and Kathy Goodfield are all not seeking re-appointments. The appointed posts are up June 30.
