Neighbors: Where’s your favorite spot in Franklin County?

Hello neighbor.

If you haven’t been to Shelburne Falls in a while, why not make plans now to be there on Saturday for the Shelburne Falls Art Walk from 4 to 8 p.m.?

Just follow the decorated shoes throughout the village to find a variety of art, including paintings, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, furniture, quilts, rugs, painted silk, wood and more.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the artists, attend demonstrations, enjoy live music, participate in community art projects and ride Trolley No. 10.

Maybe you’ll even discover your own inner artist while you’re there.

Did you know that Shelburne Falls was recently designated a Cultural District by Massachusetts Cultural Council? Attend the Arts Walk to find out why ... and take a stroll across the Bridge of Flowers or eat in one of the village’s several restaurants while you’re there. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. It’s a beautiful place.

PLEASE CONTACT ME with information about your favorite Franklin County spot. I’d love to know where you spend a hot summer day or what you do on weekends here in the county. Is there a special place? What do you do there? Who do you go with? Do you have a photo? I’d love to share some of your comments and photos with readers. Please email me at:
