Letter: Accident help
On Tuesday, Oct. 2, my granddaughter, Ashley, was in a serious car accident on Bennett Brook Road in Northfield. She lost control of the car going down that wet, slippery hill and rolled the car over. It was a very terrifying experience for her but, by the grace of God, she walked away with only minor cuts and scrapes. Obviously, her guardian angel was with her that day. On behalf of her family, we would like to thank those involved with the wonderful care she received on the scene. Many thanks to the Northfield Fire Department and Ambulance Service, all the EMTs and other volunteer rescue workers. A special thanks to Officer Kimball of the Northfield Police Department. His immediate concern on his arrival was Ashley’s condition. He stayed with her trying to keep her calm until the EMTs arrived. He was very understanding and compassionate during his investigation of the accident. We would also like to thank the woman who was coming up the hill at the same time Ashley’s car rolled over and called 911, the nurse who came upon the scene and wrapped Ashley in a blanket and stayed with her until help arrived, and Mr. Mike Duprey, Vice Principal of Pioneer Regional High School who came down to the scene from the school to make sure she was OK. A very special thank you to Joy and Bri L’Ecuyer for coming to the scene of the accident immediately to be with Ashley throughout her entire ordeal. The support you provided to both Ashley and I was greatly appreciated. I know she loves you both very much. We are just so thankful to everyone involved with taking care of Ashley that day; and we just thank God that Ashley lived through this accident at all. God bless you all.
