Ashfield ‘Crafted in the Village’ this weekend
ASHFIELD — Ashfield isn’t just a place to come to for Christmas trees. ‘Crafted in the Village’ gives those tree-hunters other reasons to come in December: holiday crafts, self-guided tours to about a dozen artists’ studios, and dining.
The event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For those who want to shop in the town center, craft booths will be set up inside the Congregational Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church parish house, and Gloria Pacosa party planners and catering at 14 South St.
For those who would rather seek out artists and crafters’ open studios, self-guided maps will be available at Neighbor’s Store, Ashfield Hardware and at Elmer’s.
Charlemont readies for Hobby Horse Bazaar
CHARLEMONT — The Hawlemont PTO is sponsoring its 38th annual Hobby Horse Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hawlemont Regional School. The event includes at least 30 vendors, many with hand-crafted wares at reasonable prices. There will be food and holiday baked goods, raffles, and holiday ornaments and quilts. Santa will visit, and families can have photos taken with Santa. There will be entertainment by the Hawlemont Chorus.
