Free summer meals for youths

GREENFIELD — Free Summer Meals for youth have begun and will end on Aug. 15. Anyone 18 years old or younger will be able to get a free nutritious meal at any of the eight sites strategically placed throughout town.

The Y of Greenfield at 451 Main St., Greenfield Gardens Community Center, Green River Swimming and Recreation Area at the pavilion (lunch only), Leyden Woods Community Center, Greenfield Middle School Cafeteria will run Monday through Friday through Aug. 15. Camp Keewanee (lunch only) through Aug. 8, and Federal Street School and Newton Street School through the end of July, Monday through Thursdays only breakfast and lunch.

For those over 18, meals may be purchased for a small fee. Seven of the sites serve breakfast and lunch, the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area site and camp Kewanee only serves lunch. Breakfast runs from 8 to 9 a.m. and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Any child in Greenfield may eat for free.
