Montague, Dec. 19
1:24 p.m. — Caller from Florida reports someone has opened accounts in her name here, and she is receiving bills for those accounts to her home in Florida; she states accounts were opened in her name under Berkshire Gas, Comcast, and has an issue with tax returns; officer to investigate.
4:30 p.m. — Caller from Turnpike Road requesting an officer for an unknown male standing in her backyard; officer responded, and found it was the neighbor shoveling off the steps; no problems.
5:40 p.m. — Officers on Millers Falls Road to aid Hadley Police with serving a probable cause warrant; arrested was Ronald Joseph Powers, 86, of Millers Falls Road, Turners Falls.
Orange, Dec. 19
11:21 a.m. — Larceny reported from Main Street where the reporting person says a known man went to the Armory yesterday and claimed he was there to pick up her “brown bag,” with groceries in it, and they gave it to him; she said he isn’t authorized to pick up her bag; she got a new bag and they made a note of it for the next time.
5:08 p.m. — Shelburne Control received a report of a possible disabled motor vehicle with a woman driver; officer responded, and found that the exhaust had come loose and the driver was waiting for a family member to come and wire it back up.
8:59 p.m. — Larceny reported by a walk-in who says her suboxone was stolen off the Community Service bus; in talking with the reporting person the officer found the theft would have occurred in Greenfield, and she was referred to Greenfield Police.
Montague, Dec. 20
3:34 p.m. — Caller reports smashed front door window and open rear door at Old Sunderland Road residence. The residence was broken into and apparently gone through. Unknown what may be missing.
7:15 p.m. — 911 caller from Coolidge Avenue reports her boyfriend stole her cellphone and debit card and left on foot half an hour ago; card has now been used. Subject located, property returned to caller; summons issued.
10:33 p.m. — Single-car accident on Walnut Street. Patient transported by BHA with head cuts. Vehicle towed; summons to follow.
Greenfield, Dec. 20
12:55 p.m. — Report of a larceny at the Mohawk Trail Dunkin’ Donuts.
3:57 p.m. — Report of a wallet possibly stolen at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
5:39 p.m. — A Pray Drive caller reported credit card fraud.
5:47 p.m. — A caller reported that her medications were stolen from a community service bus while she was doing community service in town.
9:01 p.m. — A Fargo Drive caller reported that his Playstation 3 was stolen. He said the game console was in his friend’s car, and she left without him.
10:20 p.m. — Officers checking area motels after Rowe police called to report possible child abuse involving a family that had been evicted from their home tonight. Their vehicle was not located at any Greenfield motels.
10:47 p.m. — Officers responded to Beech Street to mediate a dispute between neighbors regarding where snow is blown.
Montague, Dec. 21
6:37 a.m. — Report of an assault. Report of a man in the emergency room with significant facial injuries; same will be transported to Springfield within 45 minutes.
10:32 a.m. — K Street caller reporting the theft of his snowblower last Wednesday morning. Dark green Craftsman. Followed the tracks to Fifth Street.
6:20 p.m. — Caller from Powertown Apartments, Fourth Street, reports a group of children in the alley area that appear to be having a snowball fight. Caller upset about the noise level. Sergeant checked the area, spoke to a couple of kids, asked them to keep the noise down.
Greenfield, Dec. 21
12:49 a.m. — Officers responded to Club Allure, where they were having issues with a man they asked to leave.
1:54 a.m. — Matthew Fisher, 30, of 138 Main St., was arrested on a warrant after police responded to Main Street for a report of a drunk person.
6:10 a.m. — Officers responded to Sandri Stopsmart for a report of a man causing a disturbance over lottery tickets.
11:01 a.m. — Responded to a minor two-car accident on High Street.
11:15 a.m. — Thomas L. Nater, 33, of Juniper Court, was issued a summons for driving without a license, a license plate violation, and a lights violation, after a traffic stop.
3:38 p.m. — Responded to a two-car accident in the Interstate 91 rotary.
7:40 p.m. — Report of an accident at Big Y Foods, Mohawk Trail. One vehicle backed into another, minor injuries claimed but medical assistance refused.
10:04 p.m. — Caller from the Thai Blue Ginger, 298 Main St., states that three parties just ate and left without paying, but left a credit card number and all info. Caller needs to run card and see if it all goes through.
