Police Logs: April 18-19

Greenfield, April 18

12:59 a.m. — Traffic stop on Conway Street, investigation leads to summons being issued for two people, one for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and the second person for possession of Class B drug.

5 a.m. — Report that a 2003 Mazda SE had been repossessed on Aster Court.

1:13 p.m. — Responded to Lilac Court for a silent 911 call. Officers determined the incident to be a domestic disturbance between a man and woman. The woman requested an ambulance for facial injuries, which she said she received when she fell onto a cement step outside.

1:26 p.m. — Responded to Federal Street for a minor two-car accident.

4:21 p.m. — John C. Bovat, 54, homeless, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery, after police responded to a disturbance on Miles Street.

5:08 p.m. — Officers located a syringe on a Devens Street porch while interviewing subjects involved in a prior call.

7:47 p.m. — Corey Herzig, 36, homeless, was arrested on a charge of possession of a Class B drug, subsequent offense, and Daniel Richotte, 36, of Aster Court, was arrested charges of driving with a suspended license, driving a car with its registration revoked, and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, after a traffic stop at West and Elm streets.

9:30 p.m. — Brandon McKelvey, 22, of Gill, was arrested on a warrant after a traffic stop.

9:37 p.m. — A caller reported suspicious activity on Main Street. It was found to be a male known to police, sitting on a cement wall and drinking coffee.

11:16 p.m. — Responded to a Conway Street alley for a report of people smoking marijuana. Subjects were gone on arrival.

11:39 p.m. — Report of fireworks being set off behind Leyden Woods apartments.

Greenfield, April 19

1:04 a.m. — Responded to Main Street for a report of several people fighting. None wished to press charges, and no injuries were reported.

2:08 a.m. — Alexandru Tomescu, 25, of Greenfield, will be summoned to court on three charges of a license plate violation to conceal identity, after police responded to Oak Courts and found multiple vehicles with illegally attached plates.

2:11 a.m. — A Riddell Street caller reported people being loud and having a fire. They were not noisy on arrival, and agreed to extinguish the fire.

10:44 a.m. — Responded to a Petty Plain Road residence, where an employee stated that a resident threw a hot coffee on her. The suspect will be summoned to court.

1:09 p.m. – A caller reported people smoking marijuana in Hillside Park. A fight was subsequently reported in the same area.

1:39 p.m. — Dennis Munhall, 42, of Brattleboro, Vt., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, driving with an open container of vodka, and driving with a suspended license, after police received a report of a car being driven backwards on Deerfield Street.

2:54 p.m. — Responded to Stop & Shop for a minor two-car accident.
