1 woman taken to hospital after single-car accident in Deerfield
SOUTH DEERFIELD — A Sunderland woman driving along River Road Tuesday morning lost control of her vehicle and hit a roadside tree head-on.
At 10:38 a.m., another motorist driving by saw the 20-year-old woman in the crashed vehicle, picked her up and drove her to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, according to Deerfield Police officer Nate Coffin.
Coffin said the woman was driving too fast on slushy roads, lost control of her car and hit the tree, bending the front frame of the Honda Civic.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.
