Motorcyclist in critical condition after hitting pole on Country Club Road

GREENFIELD — A local man was listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Springfield after a motorcycle accident Friday evening.

He was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center before LifeFlight helicopter ambulance transported Jeffrey Warner, 43, of 22 Silver Place, to Baystate following the accident, logged at 5:43 p.m., according to police.

The accident occurred at Country Club Road and Plantation Circle when Warner’s motorcycle struck a pole, according to police.

Warner may be issued a citation for drag racing, passing in a no passing zone and speeding, and charges may follow against a second motorcyclist, according to Sgt. Stephen Westerling.

Further details were not available at press time as the investigation and report were not complete, according to police.
