Get ready to bowl for Big Brothers Big Sisters
Bowl for Kids’ Sake, the biggest annual fundraiser of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County, will be April 27 at the French King Entertainment Center in Erving from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 45-year-old, donor-funded mentoring organization challenges everyone to join the bowl-athon.
“Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a fun, exciting way to support the work we do,” said Danielle Letourneau-Therrien, the agency’s executive director. “Our fundraising is local, and each person who attends or supports this event — bowlers, team captains and sponsors — has a hand in helping a child reach their full potential. Every dollar raised directly funds our mentoring programs in Franklin County and the North Quabbin region. The more money we raise, the more children we can serve.”
This year’s theme of “Bowl Your Hats Off” challenges bowlers to wear hats, wigs or other creative head wear. Prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals for fulfilling the theme. In addition, all bowlers can qualify for gift certificates to area restaurants by raising $100 or more. Throughout the day there will be raffles, a photo booth, a silent auction and music.
