Learn how to download e-books at Arms Library
SHELBURNE FALLS — Did you know you can check out the latest books, movies and audios from the CW/MARS collection and download them onto your e-reader, tablet or computer?
Come to the Arms Library on Wednesday for an “E-book Palooza” workshop that shows you how.
Cynthia Laino of CW/MARS (Central/Western Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing) will lead the two-hour training session in the downstairs-level Langford Reading Room from 6 to 8 p.m.
Bring your electronic reading devices or try some that the library has on-site.
There will be light refreshment. For more information, call the library Wednesday, during hours of operation, at 625-0306.
According to CW/MARS, a person can download an eBook, or other electronic media any time of day from their library’s website, as long as they have a valid library card, and an Internet connection to a Mac, PC or mobile device.
You can browse your library’s website at http://digitalbooks.cwmars.org and search by subject, author or format, and download. Items can be downloaded onto your computer then transferred to a portable device, such as a Kindle or iPod.
