Alcoholics Anonymous: Alcoholics Anonymous holds a fragrance-free open meeting, Tuesdays at noon, Colrain Community Church, Route 112.

Greenfield Free Healthy Bones/Balance Class: The YMCA in Greenfield offers free exercise classes for people who have osteoporosis, osteopenia or who just want to strengthen their bones. This fun, beneficial exercise program builds bones, muscles, strength, flexibility and improves balance with light weights and balls provided. Classes are offered Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to noon, and Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Classes are led by trained Retired and Senior Volunteer Program leaders of Franklin/ Hampshire counties and the YMCA. Salasin Center Schedule: December calendar for the Salasin Community Women’s Resource Center and the Family United Networks FUN Center: Tuesday, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Journey Dance at the RPX; Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, Peer Writing Group, and Thursday, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Fun center Family time. The RECOVER Project: The RECOVER Project at 68 Federal St. has open hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. The RECOVER extension room is open all day, Mondays to Fridays. On Mondays, 3 to 4 p.m., a Tobacco Awareness Group. This free eight-week series will allow participants to explore their relationship to tobacco. On Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m., an “All Recovery Meeting.” This meeting is open to all to discuss recovery, no matter what path that recovery has taken. All walks of recovery are more than welcome. American Legion Dinner: The American Legion will serve a stuffed roast pork dinner, prepared by Chef Sharon Call, tonight at 5:30 at Guiding Star Grange, Chapman Street. Cost is $8 and is on a first come, first served basis. Open to the general public. Takeouts are available. The Dec. 30 meal is canceled because of the New Year’s holiday.

Christmas Eve Community Meal: Free Christmas Eve Community Meal, Tuesday, 4 p.m., Greenfield Alliance Church, Chapman Street. Greenfield Zen: Greenfield Zen holds sittings on Mondays, 7:15 to 8:45 p.m., Green River Yoga, 158 Main St., Suite 6. Practice sitting and walking Zen meditation. Overlook Seeks Volunteers: Overlook Hospice Services in Greenfield is looking for volunteers for its Hospice team. A Hospice volunteer provides practical assistance and compassionate support to patients and their families, who are facing a life limiting illness. Franklin Area Survival Center: The Thrift Store at the Franklin Area Survival Center is open year-round, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Food Pantry hours remain the same, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The center is at 96 Fourth St., Turners Falls.
