Curling open house Saturday
PETERSHAM — Anyone who wants to master the sport of curling before the upcoming Winter Olympics will have their chance Saturday during an open house at the Petersham Curling Club.
The 53-year-old club, one of four in the state, will open its doors to spectators beginning at 6 p.m. Live curling matches will take place at 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. and club members will be on hand to teach the basics of the sport.
There will be light refreshments and a cash bar.
The club has nearly 100 members, including some from Charlemont, Greenfield, Leyden, Montague and Orange.
It’s located at 150 North Main Street (Route 32) in Petersham.
