Housing forum for seniors set for Sunday in Wendell
WENDELL — “Aging In Place” in a small rural town with few organized services has unique issues. The Wendell Council on Aging is presenting a forum on housing for seniors from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the town hall.
The forum will present information about programs that help seniors stay in their homes despite physical and financial limitations. There will also be information about and affordable over-50 housing options in the area.
Speakers from Franklin County Home Care Corp. will include Mary Johnson on “All About Senior Housing Options Outside of Wendell.” Kathy Becker on “adult family care and how it works.” Gretchen Smith will discuss “Benefits Counseling — Help Making Ends Meet.” In addition, Jan Stiefel from Community Legal Aid will present “How CLA can help with housing issues, foreclosure prevention and getting the benefits you deserve.”
