GREENFIELD — Anyone interested in attending Greenfield Community College can come to campus Thursday for “College Visit Day.”

GCC will host events for visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Administrators will be on hand to discuss academic workload, the enrollment process and placement test preparation. Campus tours will be available in the afternoon.

GCC President Robert Pura called it a “wonderful opportunity for prospective students to get a feel for GCC.”

“I agree with Rob Yacubian, retired transfer counselor, who would tell GCC students looking to transfer, ‘You wouldn’t buy a new pair of shoes without trying them on, would you? Why wouldn’t you visit a college before choosing it to attend?’” he said. “I think he captures the purpose of our day.”

For details about the event and to sign up, visit www.gcc.mass.edu/admission or call 413-775-1801.
