Police look for man who robbed CVS at gunpoint
GREENFIELD — Police are looking for a man who robbed CVS at gunpoint Tuesday night.
At 11 p.m., police received a call from a CVS employee, who told them a masked man stole 800 prescription pills from the store’s pharmacy.
Sgt. Kelson Ting confirmed that the medication taken was a controlled narcotic. Since the investigation is ongoing, he declined to specify what drug was taken.
Ting said the suspect displayed a gun to the pharmacist, but did not harm any employees or customers of the store. He said it is a busy store, and about a dozen customers were in and out during the robbery.
The clerk told police he didn’t attempt to follow the suspect, who he said fled on foot. The suspect was described as a tall, thin white man, wearing gray sweatpants, with black fleece concealing his face.
