Letter: Kerry’s foolishness

Like the old saying heard around here, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute. That’s climate change. We have four seasons in this section of the country, that’s climate change. The sun rises in the morning and changes the climate. So Kerry mocks us for denying the weather?

Where does a multi-millionaire with a carbon footprint the size of a small country, tell me what to believe? Just think of the amount of carbon his government jet emits as he and his entourage fly around the world for their power lunches. Let’s leave out his multiple cars, houses and boats.

So, when did the lefties change from saying global warming to climate change?

Their global warming bubble was popped the day it was announced by the IPCC (report fall 2013) that the earth’s surface temperature has not changed in 17 years.

Seventeen years goes back to “I invented the Internet” Al Gore and his discredited hockey stick temperature chart.

Even the New York Times (Google article by Justin Giles, June 10, 2013) agrees.

Kerry sounds more like a preacher, labeling everyone who disagrees with his proclamation as disbelievers. He uses “climate change” as an ideology bordering on religion. He accuses us “non-believers” as card-carrying members of the flat earth society. Yet he disregards scientific facts and is full of too much emotion on the subject.

There is another old saying that applies to Mr. Kerry, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.”

Unless this is an exceptionally subtle bit of satire, irony is well and truly dead.
