Lauren C. Sharpe – Jonathan M. Drummey

Lauren Christine Sharpe and Jonathan Michael Drummey of Burlington, Vt., were married July 14, 2012.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas P. Sharpe Jr. and Jeanette R. Sharpe of South Deerfield, Mass.

The bridegroom is the son of Paul E. Drummey and Cheryl A. Drummey of Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The 4 p.m. ceremony took place in the Ira Allen Chapel in Burlington with Justice of the Peace Theresa Orr officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Readers were Kayla Sharpe, sister of the bride, and Maxwell Drummey, brother of the groom. Samuel Nelson, organist, friend of the couple, provided music.

Attending the bride was her sister, Kayla E. Sharpe, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Cantler and Catherine Cantler, friends, and Melissa Heneghan, cousin of the bride. Lucy Drummey, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Ian Nevins, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Maxwell Drummey and Alexander Drummey, brothers of the groom, and Nicholas McCulloch, the groom’s friend. Noah and Jack Drummey, nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers.

The reception was held in Richmond, Vt., with DJ Geoff Garrow providing music.

The bride’s dress was made by Katherine B. Cavacco of South Deefield.

As their wedding trip, the couple drove cross-country to Los Angeles, Calif. They are making their home in North Hollywood, Calif.

The bride graduated from Frontier Regional School, South Deerfield, and from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. A registered nurse, she is in graduate school at UCLA for a masters of science degree in nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner.

The groom graduated from Lexington (Mass.) Christian Academy and from St. Michael’s College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and from Boston College with a Masters of Education. He is a teacher at the Oak School in Hollywood, Calif.

The bride will use the name: Lauren Christine Drummey.
