Sarah M. Willis — Matthew R. Vasil

Sarah Marie Willis and Matthew Ryan Vasil of Gray, Maine, were married Aug. 31, 2013.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Judy Willis of Buckland.

The groom is the son of Tom Vasil of Enfield, NH, and Chip and Marilyn Richards of Moultonborough, NH.

The 4:30 p.m. ceremony took place at the Log Cabin in Holyoke, MA, with the Rev. Richard Fournier officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Music was provided by a brass quintet with Melissa Willis and Karen Atherton on trumpet, Erin Lylis on horn, Tim Atherton on trombone and Brendon Taylor on tuba.

Melissa Willis, sister of the bride, provided a reading of “True Love”. Jennifer Lagoy, cousin of the bride, provided a reading of “American Indian Wedding Blessing”.

Attending the bride was Jaclyn Ham, friend of the bride, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Betsey Clifford, sister of the bride; Brianna Gray, cousin of the bride, and friends of the bride, Megan Farrell and Lisa Williamson.

Michael Vasil, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Stanley Stark, Jeremy Blanchard, Michael Burns and Jesse Bodwell, friends of the groom.

The reception was held at the Log Cabin with DJ Christopher Neil providing the music. Jeremy Porter, friend of the bride and groom, sang “Wanted” for the couple’s first dance.

The newlyweds took a honeymoon to Hawaii and reside in Gray, Maine, with their two dogs, Misha and Sparky.

The bride is an emergency room registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine.

The groom is a manager in the firm’s Audit Division at Baker Newman Noyes in Portland, Maine.
