Lynn M. Avery — Jaime F. Cabezas
Lynn Marie Avery, daughter of Richard and Barbara Avery of Montague, was married June 29, 2013, to Jaime Fernando Cabezas, son of Jaime and Isabel Cabezas of East Longmeadow.
The noontime ceremony took place at Saint Michael’s Parish in East Longmeadow with the Rev. James J. Scahill and Monsignor Juan F. Garcia officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her dad.
Julie E. Avery was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Martina Revatta and Mayra Rael. Ella Revatta and Jimena Basaldua Cornejo were flower girls.
Brian A. Cabezas served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Flavio A. Revatta and Ronnie Rael.
Later in the afternoon a reception was held at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass.
The groom, his brother and one groomsman are in the U.S. Military and wore their military dress attire for the wedding day events. The wedding colors were navy blue and canary yellow in honor of the military uniform.
The bride held yellow roses with a navy blue ribbon and wore a sheer ivory gown with a beaded lace bodice. The girls wore canary yellow floor length gowns. The flower girls wore matching ivory dresses. All of the bridal attendants are family members.
The bride and groom plan to travel later this year to the Riviera Maya in Mexico. The bride and groom live together in East Longmeadow, Mass.
The bride graduated from Turners Falls High School in 2004. The groom from East Longmeadow High School in 2005. The bride and groom graduated together in 2011 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, both with their Bachelor degrees. Bride: Sociology Major. Groom: Finance Major. The Groom is in the U.S. Army.
