Roberge — 50th
Lina (Gagne) and George Roberge of 295 Turners Falls Road, Montague, celebrated 50 years of marriage at the Hotel Northampton’s Grand Ballroom on May 25, 2013, surrounded by approximately 100 family and close friends. The party was given by their children and grandchildren
The couple were married on May 25, 1963, at St. Thomas Acquinas Church in Springfield by the Rev. Ronald Lussier.
George and Lina moved from Springfield to Montague in 1970.
George drove a cement mixer for Const. Service for 30 years. Lina worked at the Turners Falls High School cafeteria and Kimball’s Laundry and is now a homemaker.
Together they raised three children: George Jr. (Sharon) of Brattleboro, Vt., Joanne (Jay) Blier of Turners Falls and Daniel of Montague. They have seven grandchildren: Jae, Jocelyn (Chris), Joshua, G. Gerard III, Jolina, Connor and Will, and two great-granddaughters, Myra and Lilya.
George enjoys woodworking and making gifts for family and jamming with friends on his big bass fiddle in Florida during the winter months.
Lina loves to crochet doilies, gardening, spending time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their sporting events and school plays.
They love camping, FMCA rallies and visiting with family and friends from Canada to Florida.

Lina’s 97-year-old mother, living in St. Albans, Vt., was unable to attend the event, but she sent her best wishes to the couple.
Their family was honored to share in this joyous occasion.
