Auston L. Thornton, 21, of Eighth Street, Turners Falls. assault and battery on family/household member, and strangulation or suffocation, in Greenfield. Bail set at $100. Continued to 12/15/17 for pretrial conference.

Walter H. Perry, 39, of Hatfield. Pleaded guilty to having operated a motor vehicle after the license to operate a motor vehicle had been revoked by reason of his or her having been found to be an habitual traffic offender. Sentenced to six months in the house of correction, direct, concurrent with sentence in another case, and credit given for time served. Found not responsible for charges of motor vehicle lights violation, and speeding. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Walter H. Perry, 39, of Hatfield. Pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, subsequent offense, in Deerfield. sentenced to six months direct, with credit for time served. Found not responsible for speeding, and no inspection sticker. Must perform 16 hours community service in lieu of legal counsel fee.

Jody A. Ratigan, 51, of North Hatfield. Charge of being the owner of, or the person in control of, a motor vehicle, did knowingly permit such vehicle to be operated by a person who was unlicensed or whose license had been suspended or revoked to be dismissed on payment of $100 court costs.

Frederick E. Werbiki, 39, of Southampton. Found responsible for walking or riding on a railroad track. Fined $50, and decriminalized, to wit, converted to a civil offense.

Gabrielle A. Benz, 24, of Unity Street, Turners Falls. Pleaded innocent to assault and battery. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/25/18 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150 and $50 counsel contribution.

Nolan H. Courtermanche, 19, of Dell Street, Turners Falls. Pleaded innocent to operating under the influence of drugs, and number plate violation in Gill. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/22/18 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Shawn Scully, 53, of Wells Street, Greenfield. Pleaded innocent to leaving the scene of property damage. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/26/18 for pretrial conference.

Michelle L. Sisson, 50, of Second Street, Turners Falls. Pleaded innocent to assault and battery. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/25/18 for pretrial conference. Must pay counsel fee of $150, or perform 16 hours of community service.

Jeffrey L. Taylor, 22, of Union Street, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, placed on probation until 11/27/19, with head-injury assessment of $250. Charges of failure to stop for police, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Found not responsible for speeding, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation, no inspection sticker, and a passing violation.

Jeffrey L. Taylor, 22, of Union Street, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for assault and battery on family/household member, different date from previous case. Sufficient facts found. Sentenced to two years in the house of correction, six months direct, balance suspended, for two years. Must stay away from a named victim and must take and complete the certified batterer’s intervention program. Must have mental health evaluation and take any after-care recommended. Must also take and complete a substance abuse evaluation, and take any after-care treatment recommended. Admitted to sufficient facts for strangulation or suffocation. Sentenced to two years the house of correction, six-months direct. Placed on probation until 11/27/19, with victim-witness assessment of $90. Must have no drugs or alcohol, and subject to screens/tests. Must take medications as prescribed, and must sign releases so that the probation office can monitor attendance at programs ordered by the judge, and is concurrent with the previous count. Given credit for time served. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month, after release.

Timothy D. Bourbeau, 49, of Wells Street, Greenfield. Pleaded guilty to violation of harassment prevention order, sentenced to one year in the house of correction, direct, concurrent with sentence in another case, and given credit for time served.

Anthony J. Allen, 40, of Miles Street, Greenfield. Defendant placed on pretrial probation until 5/28/18, for being a sex offender failing to register, and must remain registered with the Sex Offender Registration Bureau. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Greenfield, Nov. 29, Judge Michael Ripps

Lance E. Hansen, 20, of Shaw Road, Bernardston. Admitted to sufficient facts for operating under the influence of liquor or 0.08 percent. Sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until 11/28/18 with 210 days loss of license, plus OUI fee of $250, OUI victims assessment of $50, head-injury assessment of $250, and victim-witness assessment of $50. Must take and complete the driver alcohol education program, and pay the fee of $726.80. Travel restriction waived for work purposes. Must have mental health evaluation and take any after-care recommended. Found not responsible for miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month.

Ramon Jesus Ramirez Mejia, 20, of Broadview Heights, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, found responsible. Fined $100.

Terrance T. Love, 37, of Springfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for assault and battery, amended from assault and battery on family/household member. Sufficient facts found. Placed on probation until 5/3/18 with victim-witness assessment of $50, and must take and complete the anger management program, Must pay legal counsel fee of $150 and $50 counsel contribution.

Alexander Jackson, 24, of Park Street, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for filing a false report of a motor vehicle theft. Fined $320, plus $80 surfine. Charge of intimidating a witness, juror, police, or court official dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Penelope I. Pattalochi, 43, of Orchard Street, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing a Class A drug, to wit, heroin. Sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until 11/29/19, with victim-witness assessment of $90. Must continue and comply with the Methadone program. Must sign releases so that the probation office can monitor attendance at programs ordered by the judge, must have no drugs or alcohol, subject to screens/tests, and must comply with treatment recommended by the probation office. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month for two years.

Joseph M. Auger, 26, of L Street, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a blunt object. Sentenced to 18 months in the house of correction, suspended, placed on probation until 11/29/19, with victim-witness assessment of $90. Must take and complete the anger management program, and must stay 100 yards away from and have no contact with a named person, and stay away from a specified Fourth Street location in Turners Falls, Charge of disturbing the peace dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month for two years, and may do community service.

Tammy Abatayo, 34, of Enfield, Conn., Admitted to sufficient facts for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, in Deerfield by state police. Sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until 12/29/17 to be dismissed on payment of $50 court costs. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Greenfield, Dec. 1, Judge Laurie MacLeod

Michael P. Santaw, 52, of Plantsville, Conn. Pleaded innocent to improper storage of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a gun, assault to intimidate, possessing a firearm without a firearms identification card, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle in Greenfield by state police. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/29/18 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150 and $150 legal counsel contribution.

Janel I. Poulin, 31, of Randolph, Vt. Pleaded innocent to possessing a Class A drug, to wit, heroin, throwing trash from a motor vehicle, and number plate violation, in Greenfield by state police. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/29/18 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Kathleen B. Batchelor, 24, of Amherst Road, Sunderland. Charges of operating with suspended registration, and uninsured motor vehicle were both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Paul J. Angelico, 61, of Canton. Charge of uninsured motor vehicle to be dismissed on payment of $500 court costs. Charge of number plate violation to conceal identification, to be dismissed on payment of $100. Found responsible for failure to stop for police. Fined $100. Charges of unregistered motor vehicle, and vandalizing property both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Rebecka Mitchell, 37, of Eastern Avenue, Greenfield. Pleaded innocent to operating under the influence of liquor or 0.08 percent, possessing a Class B drug, to wit, cocaine, and possessing a Class E drug, to wit, unidentified pills. Released on personal recognizance. Continued to 1/25/18 protective custody.

Devin A. James, 34, of Laurel Street, Greenfield. Placed on pretrial probation until 5/31/18 for larceny under $250, and must pay $200 restitution, at a minimum of $33.33 per month, with probation to terminate upon payment of restitution. Second charge of larceny under $250, was also placed on pretrial probation until 5/31/18, with same conditions as in count one.
