Ski swap set for Sunday at Berkshire East
CHARLEMONT — The Berkshire East Ski Patrol is hosting its annual Ski Swap on Sunday in the Berkshire East Ski Area main lodge from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The event is both a ski swap — where individuals are invited to drop off used equipment for swap or sale — and a ski sale, with Ski Haus of Longmeadow providing discounts on new, last season and leftover equipment.
Used rental equipment from Berkshire East will also be sold at reduced prices.
Good condition used equipment may be dropped off today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All equipment must be picked up from the swap by 4 p.m. Sunday.
The event is a fundraiser for the Ski Patrol, which will take a 20 percent commission on all sales.
The Berkshire East Ski Patrol is a volunteer organization that provides first aid and emergency transportation of injured skiers off the mountain, at no charge to the skiing public. The money raised will be used for training and the purchase of additional supplies and rescue equipment for the patrol. The ski area is located off of Route 2.
