Further details released in Orange rollover crash
ORANGE — More details emerged Wednesday about the Fryeville Road accident earlier in the week, including a clearer picture of the number of victims, their names, and the condition of one.
The Orange Police Department has released the names of the driver and two passengers injured.
Robert Ellis, 21, and passengers Jose Lopez-Rivera, 18, and Markos Mohammed Ali, 16, all of 204 Packard Road, Orange, were taken to Athol Memorial Hospital, Ellis and Lopez-Rivera with injuries classified as “visible,” according to the department.
Ali was taken from there to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries.
UMass Memorial listed Ali in good condition as of 4:30 p.m., Wednesday.
Athol Memorial Hospital declined to release the conditions of Ellis or Lopez-Rivera.
Orange police logged the report of an accident at 8:51 p.m. Monday, responding to find a truck that had flipped over, ejecting one passenger and coming to rest on a bridge abutment by the Athol-Orange town line.
Ellis is cited with failure to keep right and negligent operation.
Ali is cited with failure to wear a seat belt.
