Police to host Halloween party, hayride in Deerfield

DEERFIELD — The Deerfield Police Relief Association invites residents to celebrate Halloween with hay rides and ghoulish costumes.

The association is hosting its 29th annual Halloween party and hayride at Deerfield Elementary School on Oct. 31 at 5:45 p.m. The hayride will leave the school at 6 p.m. and return at 6:45 p.m.

Trick-or-treat bags and refreshments will be given out in the school cafeteria after the hayride. If it rains, the hayride will be cancelled, but refreshments and treats will start at 6 p.m. at the school.

The Deerfield Fire Department will also host its annual hayride and Halloween party at the former town hall on Memorial Street from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fire department celebration will also include food, hayrides and a costume parade.
