Police investigate rash of vandalism in Sunderland

SUNDERLAND — Sunderland police are investigating a rash of vandalism at the 7-Eleven Plaza and in the Squire Village apartment complex parking lot early Thursday morning.

According to Police Chief Jeffrey Gilbert, two storefront windows were damaged by what appears to have been BB pellets. Also, the glass window panes inside the door panels of the Brewing Supply and Ski Outlet entrances were smashed, possibly by a rock.

Car windows of three vehicles — one parked at the Plaza and two at the apartment complex — were found damaged by what appears to have been BB pellets.

Merchants in the plaza said nothing inside their shops appeared to be missing.
