One injured in S. Deerfield crash
SOUTH DEERFIELD — One person was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center after a three-car collision Thursday afternoon, at the intersection of Conway Road (Route 116) and Setright Road.
The names of the drivers were not available Friday afternoon.
According to Police Chief John P. Paciorek Jr., one car was turning left and had stopped for traffic while a second car behind it was slowing to a stop as a third car approached. The driver of a third car had dropped a cell phone and was picking it up, when his car struck the second car, which then hit the first vehicle.
The accident occurred at 12:32 p.m. The three vehicles were removed from the roadway by a flatbed truck, he said.
