Peoples (18-4) advanced to the semifinals at a date and time to be determined. Teddy Bear completed its season 8-14.

Peoples started the first-inning scoring when Sam Barron ripped an RBI double and Mike Dombrowski followed it up with a two-run single to extend the lead to 3-0. A wild pitch allowed the fourth run to score.

In the fourth, Peolpes made it a 6-0 game on Tom Bouvier’s run-scoring single and another wild pitch.

Teddy Bear put up its first run in the bottom of the fourth when Nick Marscher and Chris Williams roped consecutive two-out, RBI doubles.

Peoples added two more runs in the sixth on Dombrowski’s RBI single and an error to make it 8-1, before Teddy Bear scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly from Ryan O’Sullivan.

Dombrowski (three RBIs) and Ryan Franczek both had two hits for the Bankers, who were outhit, 10-9.

Marscher finished with two doubles, while Corey Shearer and Tristan Ward each singled twice for the Poolmen.

Mike Farrell struck out three and did not walk a batter in the complete-game win.

Wilbraham 5, Manny’s 1 — Wilbraham Funeral Home scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a close game and beat Manny’s TV & Appliance Center, 5-1, in Game 3 of their TCL quarterfinal series Wednesday night at Farrell Field in Wilbraham.

Wilbraham (16-6) will await its semifinal opponent later this week. Manny’s finished its season 10-12.

Manny’s opened the game by loading the bases with no outs before starter and winner John Russell induced three consecutive ground-outs to get out the jam.

Wilbraham took advantage of the missed opportunity to took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

Kevin Baker singled, then after an out stole second and later scored on Ted Lerud’s RBI double. Lerud went to third on Greg Heineman’s single, and Zack Bombard drove him in with a base hit.

Manny’s got one back in the second. Brody Markol led off with a single, then Luke Wamboldt singled. After an out, Eric Libardoni singled to load the bases and Greg Vouros brought Markol home with a sacrifice fly.

Wilbraham added to its lead in the fifth. Nico Iavicoli led off with a double, advanced to third on Lerud’s fielder’s choice, and scored on Greg Heineman fly ball that was dropped, sending Heineman to second. Zack Bombard tripled home Heineman, and Bombard scored on another dropped fly ball.

“It was tough,” said Manny’s head coach Lee Magee. “We were missing (Brian) Hayes but we definitely had our opportunities. That first inning really told the tale of how things were going to go. We battled until the fifth when things kind of got away from us.”

Baker and Bombard each finished with two hits. Both teams finished with seven in all, but three of Wilbraham’s went for extra bases, while Manny’s had none.

Austin Finck took the loss. He had no strikeouts or walks in 4 1-3 innings.
