Letter: Political lesson

The battle in the political arena that did not receive the attention it should has ended on a rightful note that pleased like-minded Democrats that believe Senator-elect Edward Markey is on that side of history that needs to move forward rather than backwards. Even though the losing candidate, Republican Gabriel Gomez, was younger than his opponent, in my opinion he lost because he did not have fresh ideas, and he did not understand the present pulse beat in this great nation. Perhaps in the future, Mr. Gomez will make another attempt at a political position; if he does, it is my notion that he should connect with the common man and common good when you run in the state of Massachusetts; this will compensate for the blind-spot seen in his debates.
