No contests in Monroe election on Monday

MONROE — Residents will see familiar names when they head to the polls for Monday’s annual town election, in Town Hall.

In this town of roughly 120 people, several incumbents are seeking re-election to multiple positions.

Selectman Carla Davis-Little is running unopposed for re-election to her selectman’s seat, as town auditor and as School Committee member.

No one is running for two vacant positions for town assessor. Also, Joshua Little is not running for re-election to his Board of Health seat, and no one else has stepped forward to fill that post, according to Town Clerk Marcella Stafford-Gore.

Town Moderator and Finance Committee member Norman Goodermote is seeking re-election to both positions.

Stafford-Gore is running for re-election as town clerk, and two incumbent constables, Clifford Oakes and Denis Tanguay are seeking election. Oakes is seeking re-election for a three-year term, and appointee Tanguay is running for his first election, to fill a two-year unexpired term.

Polling hours are 2 to 6 p.m.
