Letter: Help with my dogs

On Friday, April 26, my two dogs took off while we were walking at Poet Seat’s at 6:30 in the morning. My friend, Susan Worgaftik and I conducted a search by foot and then by two cars lasting several hours combing the area including Turners Falls.

The many people we encountered were both sympathetic and helpful. Many joined the search. Just as we were again leaving the parking lot at Poet Seat’s, people called to us from across the street at the end of Highland Park. My dogs were happily strolling down the trail wondering what all the fuss was about ... they had been missing from me for over 4 hours.

Needless to say I was greatly relieved and I am ever so grateful for the help and support shown by the folks who were out for simple walk in the woods on a beautiful spring day, but were willing to help.

Nadia and Bruno’s humans, Patti and Tom saying thank you.
