Lette: Missed train

Well, it looks like you missed it!

A well-publicized historic event occurred in Franklin County on Saturday, April 13.

The first passenger train in over 30 years ran from Boston to Mechanicville, New York, via the Hoosac Tunnel, with seating and accommodations open to the public.

And, to the best of my knowledge, this was the first operation of railway dome cars in revenue service to operate in Franklin County.

OK, I do thank you for your pro-passenger railway editorial on Monday, but covering this train would have been more effective.
