Letter: Red flag in Hawley
I am a handicapped voting senior in Hawley. I have read the articles written by Ms. Broncaccio and I have spoken by phone to other voters about the current and existing problem in the governing of the town of Hawley. I do not have a dog in this fight, meaning I accept the panel that the voters have selected without reservation.
After four town officials have resigned and all have made scathing remarks about the chairman, as written by Ms. Broncaccio, I see a glaring red flag go up and I wonder if there could be a health problem crying out for help.
I think it is time for the Attorney General of Massachusetts to look into this very serious matter. Elected officials have sworn to serve all voters — not to dominate them.
Hawley voters, please write to the attorney general and ask her to investigate this problem.
