Whately Selectmen choose single-tax rate
WHATELY — The average homeowner in Whately will pay less in taxes this year.
The Board of Selectmen voted to have a single tax rate this year. The tax rate decreased from $15.85 per $1,000 valuation last year to $15.28 this year.
The rate dropped as a result of the increase in the valuation of homes. The total valuation of the town increased from $236,900,353 last year to $245,401,469 this year.
