Friends of Schell plan auction
NORTHFIELD — The Friends of Schell Bridge will hold its annual auction Oct. 27.
The night begins with a soup supper, from 6 to 7 p.m., with the auction beginning at 7. Dinner is $10 per person, with a variety of homemade soups, breads, salads and desserts to choose from. Wine and beer will also be available.
Local woodworker Michael Humphries will serve as auctioneer. More than 60 items from local merchants, artisans and businesses are up for grabs.
Items range from breakfast for two at Rooster’s Bistro, to 22 tons of crushed stone delivered by Lane Construction Co. There are also locally made arts and crafts, golf lessons, antiques, a private wine and cheese tasting, a stay at Centennial House bed and breakfast, a bushel of Rock Ridge Farm vegetables, and much more.
