Letter: Loving our fellow man
I was encouraged to read a letter in the Aug. 20 paper, which involved a young man in our congregation at Moores Corner Church.
He took time to do something nice for a child with a disability. Although he didn’t know the child or his family and may never see them again, he still went out of his way to show kindness to him. Jesus tells his follower to be a light to the world and to let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
There are many in our society going through difficulties and often times we are not even aware of their pain. What can we do? Jesus said love God first and then love your neighbor as yourself.
We can go to church, read the Bible and pray (and we should do all of those things) but if we neglect to show love to our fellow man and are not willing to help those in need, we have missed the point.
