Man OK after Colrain rollover
COLRAIN — A Colrain man walked away with what were apparently minor injuries after the car he was driving rolled over twice and landed upright Thursday morning.
Clifford Dornbusch, 26, was driving an older-model Mercedes on Jacksonville Road when the vehicle went off the road, struck a boulder and rolled over a couple of times, according to Colrain Police officer Josh LeMay.
“He told me he fell asleep,” LeMay said.
LeMay said the air-bags were deployed and that Dornbusch was wearing a seat belt. He said the car was severely damaged.
The accident occurred around 7:41 a.m., and as a result the northbound lane of Jacksonville Road was temporarily closed.
Dornbusch had minor complaints of pain but did not want an ambulance. A relative took him to the hospital, LeMay said.
Dornbusch was cited for a marked lanes violation.
