Bulletin Board: Coburn powers Kustom, 12-9
Amber Coburn went 4-for-4 Monday night and Kustom Auto Body defeated Between the Uprights, 12-9, in a Montague Co-Rec Adult Softball League game at Green River Field in Greenfield.
Caleb Parker and Sam Parker each had three hits in the win.
Jason Bohonowicz went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run in the loss, and Brad Stafford went 2-for-3 with a triple.
Thomas Memorial men’s
Steve Jones fired a 3-under-par 32 for low gross during the Monday Night Men’s League at Thomas Memorial Golf and Country Club in Turners Falls.
Jones was also closest to the pin on No. 7 (6 feet).
Eric Adams and Darren Lenois are tied for the league lead with 73 points.
Mike Johnson and Mike Duclos carded a gross of 34 and won in a playoff during the Monday Night Skins League at Northfield Golf Course.
Low net went to Bill Holbrook and Lloyd Grover with a 29.
Bob Ross was closest to the pin on No. 6 (12-0). Devin Locksley was closest on No. 7 (15-0).
Mark K Memorial mixed
Richard Peel, Andy Chartier, Matt Llewelyn and Sue Ruggeri combined on a low net of 60 for first place in the Mark K Memorial Mixed League Monday night at Oak Ridge Golf Club in Gill.
Bill Thompson, Jon Snow, Fred Secore and Bob Mott came in second with a 61.
Sherry Chaffee carded an A Division-low 23 in the Even-Holes Tournament during Monday Night Women’s Golf League play at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Tami Gaylor and Linda Martineau tied for low gross with a 44, while Dianne Wood posted a low net of 30.
Ellen Bitzer was the tournament winner in the B Division with a 25. Low gross went to Tilly Clark with a 45. Timberly Grout posted a low net of 28.
In the C Division, Lisa Sullivan was the tournament winner with a 27, Nancy Conant and Bobbee Low tied at 54 for low gross, and Lynn Currier had a low net of 29.
DRIVE Men’s League
Pat Viencek scored a game-high 23 points to lead Dunkin Donuts to a 75-73 victory over Bruso Computer Solutions in a DRIVE Men’s Basketball League game Sunday night at Messer Gymnasium in Northfield.
Ben Banash added 13 points for the winners.
Chad Galipault drained 18 points and Luke Paulson had 16 for BCS.
• Elsewhere, Berkshire Pizzeria received 23 from Luke Martin and 19 from Ben Johnson in a 70-65 win over Booska’s Flooring.
Brendan Rios drained a game-high 27 and Casey White contributed 14 for Booska’s.
• In other action, DRIVE Hoops posted an 86-81 win over Taylor’s Tavern/Snow & Sons Landscaping Service. Angelo Thomas led the winners with 20, while Phil Diphillipo bucketed 19.
Kyle Snow had a game-high 24 and Cody Snow added 15 for Taylor’s/Snow & Sons.
• Also, VT Nameless downed Northampton, 86-81, behind 20 points from Eric Holtz and 14 from Ethan Slavin.
Jake Laga hit for 18 and Grant Cooper added 16 for Northampton.
• Finally, Dave Sontag’s 15 points and Ryan Blair’s 12 helped Keene defeated Hunter North Securities, 72-61.
Jared Holmes netted a game-high 23 and Kevin Gina for HNS.
