Letter: Keep them on board
I’m writing to ask you to support the current town councilors who are running for re-election, including President Mark Wisnewski, Vice President Hillary Hoffman, Alfred Siano and Steve Ronhave.
In the almost three years that we have served on the Town Council together, Greenfield has gotten better. New businesses have come to town (i.e., Wow Yogurt, The Clay Oven, Seymour, Burning Hot Yoga), there has been increased citizen participation and lively debates in town government, no decrease in public services and a new Sustainable Master Plan has been created giving us a solid blueprint for the future. Though we don’t always agree (see the votes on the Lunt property or the split tax rate), we respect one another and foster an atmosphere of collaboration.
In 2012, we passed a long overdue resolution promoting Greenfield as an open and accepting community sending a message that we value diversity in all its many forms.
Despite the challenges ahead, Greenfield has a lot to look forward to including increased economic development, a large retail store, a dog and skate park, an improved housing market and lower property taxes.
Join me in continuing to move Greenfield forward by voting for the incumbent town councilors on June 10.
