Letter: Thrilled he’s a candidate
We are writing to urge the residents of Precinct 5 to vote for Rob Wainstein on June 10. Neither of us has ever been very political in a public way but we both feel so strongly that Rob Wainstein will make an excellent council member representing Precinct 5 and the town of Greenfield that we felt the need to speak out.
As a lawyer, Rob has worked for years on behalf of the elderly and those considering the issues and challenges of aging. In this work he has proven to be an excellent listener and a thoughtful problem-solver who keeps an open mind to see all the possibilities. These are qualities that we believe are important to the job of council member and define how Rob will work as one.
Over the years Rob has shown himself to be a compassionate, fair and involved community member, putting his beliefs and values into action. He was president of the board of the New England Learning Center for Women, president of the Massachusetts Justice Project, and on the board of the Franklin County Community Health Center. In both his career work and his volunteer work, Rob’s interest and commitment has been on helping and fighting for the rights of those in need.
Now he wishes to take the next step as an active and dedicated community member — to serve as a Town Council member. We are thrilled and encouraged that someone with Rob’s background, skills and qualities is willing and excited to serve on our council! We hope that you, the residents of Precinct 5, will join us on June 10 to vote for Rob Wainstein.
