Greenfield, May 27
10:39 a.m. — Malicious destruction of property reported by a walk-in from Lunt Drive who says he found damage to a basement window, possibly from a BB gun; officer to investigate, and found the BB hole in the basement window on the street side of the house.
11:49 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported for the area of Dillon Chevrolet on Main Street; reportedly a person came to announce a press conference near Dillon’s at noon; the conference subject was to be outing of sex offenders; officers checked the area, nothing found.
1:54 p.m. — Caller from Colrain Road reports someone stole some mail out of her mailbox over the weekend and that they went through the mailboxes at the apartments at this location; officer investigating, report issued.
3:13 p.m. — Report of a threat being made in the parking area at Foster’s Super Market where the reporting person says she was involved in an altercation with the operator of a vehicle, about leaving his dog in the car; the operator subsequently threatened the reporting person; officer responded, and found it to be a verbal argument over an animal being left in the vehicle, with the windows down; found no crime committed.
3:54 p.m. — Domestic disturbance reported on Fiske Avenue where the reporting person states she was on the phone with her sister who resides there, and her sister’s boyfriend started yelling that he was going to kill her, then the phone went dead; officers responded, and found a verbal argument took place; tempers were calmed; intoxication was involved; situation settled for now; both wanted the other to leave, no other options.
4:56 p.m. — Larceny reported. Complainant states company’s sign on Lincoln Street was taken from the residence he is working for; he said he didn’t expect anything done, but heard from neighbors that there were several other various yard style signs missing in the neighborhood and that he felt he should report his.
5:05 p.m. — Report of a large sinkhole on Cleveland Street; the DPW put signs around the area.
5:16 p.m. — Accident at River Street and the Mohawk Trail where the caller says there are no injuries; officer responded, and helped with exchange of information.
5:19 p.m. — General disturbance reported on Chapman Court where the reporting person states she had a confrontation twice today with an involved female about the female making false accusations about her and the reporting person is worried she is going to go hurt the female, she is so upset with her; officers responded, and the reporting person says she believe her ex is causing neighbors to harass and attack her, saying that she leaves her daughter alone, and smokes crack; she was advised of 209A rights.
5:59 p.m. — Caller from Sauter Lane reports a person racing around the area in some sort of three-wheeled vehicle, the reporting person then called back to report the vehicle is now parked in the driveway of a house in that area; officer found a person was working on a four-wheeler trying to get it operational; he was advised of the proper operation of the ATV.
6:06 p.m. — Domestic disturbance at Days Inn on Colrain Road where the reporting person states his mom just punched him in the head, and he is in the lobby waiting for officers; officers responded, but found it wasn’t as reported, but an ongoing disciplinary issue with the child, and no signs, on the reporting person or his mother, of an assault occurring as called in; the teenager became angry after he was told he couldn’t use his new Playstation because he got into trouble at school; the teen was also advised and counseled on not making false claims to police.
7:01 p.m. — Domestic disturbance on Oak Courts where the reporting person states a female is outside yelling and punching a male that is unknown to the reporting person; the reporting person stated the female’s children have been left alone inside while this is happening. A second caller says the male and female are still fighting and hitting each other at this time. Officers responded, and an ambulance was requested; the female was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by the ambulance; officer spoke to several witnesses who all stated that they hadn’t seen anything. The female, who was taken to the hospital, reports she was shoved by her children’s father, and he then shut her hand in the car door prior to leaving, and while she was picking up her purse, backed up and ran over her foot.
