WENDELL FREE LIBRARY invites artists to submit applications for two-dimensional work to exhibit in the Herrick Meeting Room Gallery. Artists and crafters are invited to submit applications for showing small work separately or in combination with flat work in the gallery. Exhibitions run for two months. Applications accepted any time. Pick up a copy of the gallery policy/application at the library or download from Library hours:Tuesday 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

RIVERCULTURE is looking for art. Painting, video, performance, photography, sculpture, poetry, music and sound. Exhibit your current work, create new work or collaborate on a project. Spring Third Thursday Themes: Thursday, June 19, Knights Camera Action! A Medieval Festival and photo exhibition. Photographs will be hung in downtown businesses. The theme is open. BERNARDSTON KIWANIS is seeking artists, craftspeople and food purveyors for its two-day Scarecrow in the Park event Oct. 25 and 26. In order to present an event that offers quality artwork and handcrafted items, the organizers are seeking artists in a wide variety of mediums. Booth fee for the two-day weekend is $40 per 10’ by 10’, and $65 for a 10’ by 20’ booth space. It is expected that artists will commit to the whole weekend; however, a very limited number of single day applications will be accepted at the full weekend price. CALL TO PHOTOGRAPHERS: “Knights, Camera, Action!” Photography exhibit June 19 to July 12 at Avenue A Storefront Galleries, Turners Falls. Medieval themed Third Thursday event. Art openings, historic reenactments, performances and talks are scheduled throughout downtown Turners Falls. The subject o the photographs is open. THE BOOMERANGS is a highly informal group that meets on the third Thursday evening of each month in Greenfield area for a potluck supper and to sing “oldies” of every description. The only requirement is enthusiasm and a sense of humor; no experience (or talent) required. Potluck convenes at 5:45 with singing by 7. For more information and directions, call Marsha at 773-0201.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY CHORUS: As a result of the GHS Music Alumni Reunion Concert in May 2013, interested singers ages 14 and older are invited to participate in a chorus directed by retired GHS Music Director Paul J. Calcari. The chorus is open to all members of the Greenfield and surrounding community. Rehearsals are Sundays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Guiding Star Grange, 401 Chapman St., Greenfield. The chorus will be an enjoyable, high-quality group that will sing a wide variety of music from classical to show tunes to folk music, etc.
