Letter: Honor their memory

Let’s not forget the meaning of Memorial Day, celebrated for those who had to pay with their lives and now lay in foreign lands and the U.S.A.

Teach our children and our teens what Memorial Day really means. The sacrifices made by young men and women of yore, for the freedoms of today is what this was for.

And to our veterans, I have this to say, please march or ride on this day, then pause with us while at the mall, when taps is played and we stand tall, to honor and remember them: THAT GAVE THEIR ALL.
