Accident closes Route 2 in Erving
ERVING — A car accident on Route 2 closed the highway in both directions Friday night.
State police confirmed that a car accident in the Farley Flats area had taken down a utility pole, which lay across both travel lanes. Initial reports said that the driver was visibly injured, but had managed to get out of the vehicle and walk.
National Grid’s website reported that 73 of its 405 Erving customers were without power after the crash.
At the time of the accident, no detour had been established.
