Town Council office hours on May 29

GREENFIELD — Town Council will hold office hours on May 29 in Town Hall from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Precinct 6 Councilor Hillary Hoffman, as well as other councilors, will be there. All residents may attend and ask questions or express concerns about any town issues.

Fines bite if pet dogs unlicensed by June 2

GREENFIELD — Dogs were required to be licensed by April 1. A late fee of $25 will be charged, in addition to the license fee, beginning on June 2. After that date, the list of unlicensed dogs will be given to the town’s animal control officer for enforcement. That could result in additional fines.

Licensing fees are $10 for spayed and neutered dogs and $15 for males and females. Dog owners must present a current rabies certificate when licensing. If the dog has not previously been registered as neutered or spayed, a certificate or letter from a veterinarian must be presented.

For more information, contact the town clerk’s office at 413-772-1555, ext. 112.
