Letter: Campaign etiquette
As a former candidate for Town of Greenfield Precinct 5 who lost the preliminary election, I wish to thank the voters for the turnout and I wish to thank the Greenfield firefighters for their hard work. They are my family and that to me is more important than any election. However, we have a serious election ahead in June regarding Precinct 5.
I wish to thank Mr. Wainstein at the Grange for thanking me as a bona fide candidate. We shook hands and wished each other the best of luck. I was most fortunate to receive a wonderful email from Mr. Wainstein. In the email was a beautiful comment as he stated I was a “Mensch.” It is the greatest honor anybody has said to me beside my late parents.
Unfortunately, Ms. Ricketts never addressed me at the Grange come election results, by handshake, email, phone call or anything to be in the spirit of true sportsmanship. Clearly, Rob Wainstein is the best candidate in Precinct 5. We do not need a person who runs a questionable website encouraging people to use pseudonyms, to be divisive and encourage it.
Any candidate can have anybody from parts unknown write letters on her behalf without any knowledge on our Precinct 5, its people and geography. Mr. Wainstein and I never did. We ran clean. I urge the voters in Bingville and the place I love and live to vote for Rob Wainstein in June.
