Letter: Help for camp

The Girls Club of Greenfield is about to begin its first fundraiser to make Camp Stonehenge new again. Former Girl Scouts and Girls Club members from decades past will remember Stonehenge as a beautiful stone building built by the Rotary Club in a beautiful, wooded setting that provided outdoor education and revelry for thousands of girls since the 1930s. With help from you, the Girls Club will continue that mission. We are starting with a simple coin drive. Our hope is that community members and businesses will show support for this effort through donations of coins (or more!) and counter space. As you shop locally over the next few months, you may notice one of our cans perched on a business counter awaiting your generous attention. We hope you will not disappoint it. With help from an always-generous community, the Girls Club will make Stonehenge new again for thousands of girls of all ages for many years to come.
