Progressive dinner to help library

BUCKLAND — Supporters of the Buckland Public Library are once again holding its Historic Upper Buckland Progressive Dinner fundraiser, on Saturday at 5 p.m.

It involves a leisurely stroll along upper Buckland’s historic district and a three-course meal at three historic houses. The event will begin at the site of the original Buckland Post Office with a selection of appetizers and local wine.

Guests will then return to Upper Street and on to the Zenas Graham House (now the Bird’s Nest Bed and Breakfast) where a choice of vegetarian, meat-based or gluten-free quiche and fresh spring asparagus will be served.

The dinner concludes at the Deacon John Porter House with some desserts. Proceeds are to benefit the library.

Reservations deadline today

A $40 donation per ticket is requested. Call Ann Bodkhe at 413-625-9455 for reservations by today.

The event sold out quickly last year. Limited parking is available.
