Greenfield students to showcase short films at GHS tonight
GREENFIELD — Student filmmakers, ranging in age from 5 to 18, will share their original work tonight at the Greenfield public school fourth annual film festival.
The event begins at 6:30 in the high school auditorium. The public is welcome and admission is free. A screening committee reviewed all films and will showcase 33, although they are all shorter than five minutes.
Prizes will be given out to winners, and audience members usually have a chance to cast their votes, too.
Administrators say that screenwriting, cinematography and editing are now part of the schools’ curricula. Some students in recent years have gone on to choose filmmaking as a career.
